I have a 94 Gmc Sierra extended cab and im taking out the current bench seat to put some subs and stuff back there.Im just wondering if it would be legal to build a custom seat for one maybe 2 people to sit on ( of course they would be equip with seat belts)

sooooo my dad has a 98 chevy truck that he's run a landscaping business out of, so naturally it smells. there's grass everywhere and this idiot that he hired for a little bit smoked like a chimney so i need to know how to get the smoke smell out too. i plan on putting a seat cover on the seat when i'm done with cleaning the seats. i don't mind putting in some elbow grease and working hard to get it clean. thank you so much :)

Six hour road trip with a 4 week old?

My boyfriend,baby and I are going back to visit our parents. It's a 6 hour drive. We're going so they can meet their newest granddaughter =). Our daughter is almost 4 weeks old and this will be her first 'road trip'. Both of our parents really want to see her but they can't make the drive theirself so we're taking her to them since they want to see her.

She's our first child so we're not sure what to take from home and what to just wait and buy once there,how much to take,you know things like that. Admittedly I'm also nervous about having her in the truck that long. Besides diapers,bottles,milk,pacifier and clothes,what else should we take along since we'll be staying there for two weeks? Any other good advice?

Parent's insurance policy?

Here's the deal. I was pulled over last night and the officer didn't give me a citation for what I did, but he did give me this "no proof of insurance" deal.

I handed the officer my insurance card, but it was expired. He allowed me to drive home instead of impounding my car, since this is my first offense.

I talked to my mom and she told me that I was covered under the insurance we had. We have four cars and ALL of them are insured.

Here's the twist, I was driving the car that my name wasn't under, but shouldn't I be able to drive any of the cars my family owns? I'm currently under the truck, but I was driving the sedan instead that night. So technically I should be covered on all four vehicles, correct?

Would I come out better trading my truck in or selling it myself?

I have a 06 Titan. I love my truck but I'm getting ready to start college and I really don't need a truck,I could get along just fine with a car. Plus I could save a good amount of money in gas. My truck's in very good condition,runs great,cold A/C,new tires,never been in an accident and is a 4 door. The only thing is that there are small scratches on it from shopping carts hitting it or in the parking lot and somebody tries to open their door all the way and hits it,none are major though.

I haven't decided on a car yet but I was planning to go looking and take my truck to see how much a dealer would give me for it but my Mom and Uncle both said that I would probably come out better if I was to just sell my truck myself and then go buy the car,what do you think?

I'm also open for suggestions as far as cars go,I'm doing my research but suggestions and advice would be great.

My memory's a little hazy on this.

I remember seeing an anime dub, I think it was on Adult Swim several years ago.

The only scene that I can remember from it is a person with white hair (I think) bifurcating a large truck with a wooden sword, and then boasting that it was "just a feat of strength". I think this person was a woman, but given the prevalence of bishounen in anime and my hazy memory I'm not at all sure.

Toddler toys: Should gender matter?

My daughter will be 2 this Christmas, so naturally my husband and I have started thinking about gifts for her and I have actually started buying things here and there when I catch good deals..I hate shopping at the last minute, hence why i'm talking about Christmas in September..lol. Last year, we bought my nephew the toy "Chuck the Talking Truck" and it was a big hit with him and my daughter loves playing with it. This year, they have a new "Chuck the Talking Truck" toy that is a newer version, so I automatically thought that it would be a great gift for this Christmas for her and I mentioned it to my mom's friend and she said "you are going to get a little girl a truck for Christmas?" She then said that my daughter needed "a doll" or some "girl toys" instead of a truck that is a "boy toy". I'm not really down with the whole "boy" toy or "girl" toy thing. To me, a toy is a toy and if your child enjoys it, it shouldn't matter. My daughter loves dolls, so i'm sure she will get one for Christmas, but can't she like truck too, especially one that is as neat as "Chuck" lol. She gets hysterical when she sees him in stores...I still plan on buying it for her, but what do you think about the whole issue? I also bought my daughter the "Stand and Play Raceway by Little People's" for a christmas gift too and she was like "are you going to get her any "girl toys" for christmas....what is it with this woman and girl and boy toys?? How do you feel?

The new robot BigFoot toy comes on tv all the time and she really likes it too and she loved playing with the display of it at Target...I mentioned this to her after I heard how appalled she was over the truck and the raceway toys, so I thought shed drop dead at the thought of this...lol.

My in-laws are raising our nephew.(their grandson).have been since he was born and his dad or grandfather however you look at it had a cow because he was carrying around one of my daughters dolls. I don't know what the big deal is. Its role play..little boys have little brothers and sisters that we encourage to be "big brothers" to, they grow up to be fathers, day care providers, etc..what is the problem?
I agree with everything you all are saying. I would rather my child enjoy herself and have the option to choose what she plays with, rather than me put limits on what she plays with because of boy/girl toy sterotypes.

I'm basically living two separate lives?

I'm 26, married with two young children. My wife and I have been together for 9 years and I love her with all of my heart. I made a mistake and cheated on her about a year and a half ago. I couldn't keep a secret that big, so I ended up telling her. It put a strain on our marriage, but we worked through it for the sake of our kids. What she doesn't know now, is that I continued to see the woman I cheated on her with. It was strictly just a sexual relationship, but it turned into something more - we fell in love. She lives in a different city, so I lied to her and said I'm a truck driver so I travel most of the time. (She doesn't know I'm married with children.)

I'm a business executive, so I already work long hours so my wife understands that I'm not home a lot, too. This gives me time to drive to the city where my girlfriend is staying, so I can spend some time with her.

I don't know what to do. I love both women - my wife and my girlfriend. My girlfriend wants to get married and start a family of our own, but she doesn't know I already have a family. I feel as guilty as ever, and I am completely stumped.

Any ideas on what to do? Please don't judge me and tell me how much of an a**hole I am, because I already know. I don't really need to be reminded. Just give me advice, if you can.

So i have been thinking about buying two Orion XTRPRO152 subwoofers to put in my truck. I am debating on which of the two i amps i have picked out to buy. It is between the orion xtr10001 class d mono amplifier or the orion hcca 10002 class ab amplifier. i can get them for around the same cost and am just wondering which would be better and make the system louder and better.

Truck noise driving me bonkers?? 10 Pts?

Everytime I get in and out of my truck it makes a sqeak creak noise that is pretty loud and noticeable. And when I go over ANY bumps it will make a loud noise like jumping up and down on a freaking mattress, it's not the shocks because I replaced them...and the ball joint is somewhat worn and cracked but I siliconed it and everything else under the truck. I'm getting upper control arm bushings tomorrow, what else could it be?

I'm getting started skating again after a couple of years and I want a deck that should last and maintain pop for a while. I am wanting to order an Almost double impact deck and venture low super light trucks. I was going to get an 8.1 size deck and 8 size trucks, but they were sold out of the size 8 trucks. So I am thinking about getting the Mullen double impact deck which is 7.7 inches with 7.75 inch trucks. Is .05 inches really too much of a difference?

There was a stray cat that kept approaching me when I was outside of my house, working on my truck, or weeding the garden.

I started leaving out some food for this cat, and before long, it was allowing me to approach it, and even pat it on the head.

I wonder if this was a domestic cat that was abandoned, actually.

Right now, it sleeps in my garage, and it allowed me to hold it a few days ago.

But when other people visit, it still runs off into the forest.
