Question: Will my German Shepherd die?

( Back )

Answer #1:

maybe

Answer #2:

Keep her inside the house and you won't have to worry about her getting injured or killed by wild animals.

Answer #3:

Consider Building a Coyote Fence
This should be upwards of 8 feet because these critters can jump that high. It should also be buried in the dirt to avoid them digging underneath.

Don't Leave Food Outside. Coyotes will eat it and come back for more.

You should leave her inside if you're worried about it.

Answer #4:

You need to keep him in if you are really concerned. If you were really worried about him. Then you would take him with or get someone that would be there with him.

Answer #5:

We can't tell you weather your dog will get killed by the coyotes or not!

Get the "Coyote Roller" to put at the top of your fence, then they can't climb over.

Answer #6:

German shepherds are powerful, agile dogs, but there is strength in numbers. I would keep her inside as much as possible and not let her out of the house unsupervised. If you want, boarding her would eliminate any danger.

Answer #7:

Be safe. Board it until you get back or leave it with a friend. This would be much cheaper than the trench, eletric fence, and/or buying a new german shepard.

Answer #8:

you should have your dog boarded at your local vet or boarding facility. its not that expensive and you know she will for sure be safe.

Answer #9:

There are two posable injuries for her:

1. Coyotes
2. The electric fence

Yes, the fence is not safe for your dog, either. If you aren't going in a plane or train (if you are driving) you may want to consider taking her with you. Otherwise, try keeping her as an inside dog. See if another friend can come over every 2 hours or so to take her out to use the restroom. Inside, there is still a chance she can get hurt. It's all apart of life.

Answer #10:

If you are concerned then you need to not leave you dog outside unsupervised or have some sort of enclosed kennel. I would not take the risk with a beloved family member but that is just me.

Answer #11:

What!? IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG AS MUCH AS I LOVE MINE WHY TAKE THE RISK!!!!!????

Answer #12:

KEEP THE POOR THING INSIDE! just have your friend take her out when he comes over and let her back in. Why risk getting the poor thing killed.

Answer #13:

well one thing if your going have osmebody stay at your house when your on vacation . you should have dogto stay inside eveing and night time because if there are wild animals that going hunt and kill then i perfer you tell the person to keep the dog inside. because is it does get hot in arizona to have dog like that . you sound like you live some hwere in tuscon or mesa that only has deserts . well i had live in arizona my whole life til i moved out here in CA . if you cant keep the dog inside. you should get a big size kennel cage to keep the dog inside. not like cage kennel. the big one that look like big dog house with plastic cover for the top . that only way other way to keep the coyotes and other wild animals from your dog. whenver it left outside. and you should leave the back house lights on. so that will show that somebody is home.
