Question: Why does he act interested IN PERSON but acts uninterested when we're not together?

because some people don't like communicating through technology ...
& guys generally don't start conversations unless they're in person.
don't know why, but they hardly text or message first.

Well, for ONE.......he's a man! Hahaha Thats why! (not always true, though). I too, have been in relationships such as this one and found out that men who show no interest in you OUTSIDE of seeing you usually:

A) Just want it to be physical
B) Have someone else on the side and they're trying not to make things complicated

It's the low down truth.....it sucks and it makes women feel unimportant, but men do it ALL THE TIME. Try wasting your energy one someone that cant STAND to be away from you! OR treat this guy the same way he does you......just dont pay attention to him outside of meeting in person. Then you might see whether he cares or not. Good luck!!!

you are not his only love....................there are others that spark his interest when your not around,...leave him....find someone who thinks about ...u...even when you gone.
